Just looked at my email a day too late; so am imagining this event as Amy Denio in person, plus multi-media?
Or was the whole band in town too? OUch, if so; or maybe only a little ouch…like a pinch to grown an inch? Did have myself a good Saturday here in Bellingham anyway, so progress on all fronts regardless.
I downloaded Scrambled yesterday, and this morning made my own cd copy; played loud about ten o’clock with my front door open, via a Behringer KX-1200 keyboard/PA amplifier…they’re nice with a 15″ woofer often an Electro-Voice speaker, and complimentary cross-over/midrange-tweeter…very basic electronics though crisp & loud purchased while being phased out for the subsequent replacement, new for $200.
I’ve not had to get into the back end of my loudspeaker, requiring either professional level knowledge of electronics or a registered Behringer technician since they don’t sell schematics. I’m a communist as a Marxist-Leninist; so appreciate the Chinese not liking giving away their fine gear to fools.
Anyway, the neighbors enjoy my musical tastes; an amazing thing, definitely Voice of Roma styles amongst others. voiceofroma.com Etcetera…
So, bring Ou back to our town; when I can get to see the “most beloved” to the Spootiest band, some more.
Hey, maybe get Sani Rifati to play percussion; for an octet who has mentioned he could play with Yuri Yunakov’s band if he practiced, already a regular with the bay area’s Brass Liberation Orchestra blomusic.com
He fled to Italy from the former Yugoslavia during 1987 and gets a kick out of the way I habitually mispronounce “Rome-ani” I’d imagine has certain meaning, perhaps? President of VOR.
